On behalf of all Pembroke Pines Firefighters, our Fire Chief John
Picarello, we are extremely p.o.d and excited to be your host for the
49th Annual Golf Tournament. The committee has been able to put
together a group package that brings the finest in hotel accommodations
and pampering, along with Award Winning Golf, from Palm Beach Gardens.
We are dedicated to making your stay in Sunny Florida as comfortable
and enjoyable as possible.
As our tournament dates of September 23rd through the 26th approach
quickly, we ask that you forward this information to others you would
love to join us - This is a grand event and should be attended by all
past members as well as new.
Everything at the PGA NATIONAL Resort & SPA is designed especially for
our group. Your beautifully appointed room is just a short walk to the
first tee of all (4) "Must Play" lay outs on any avid golfer's list.
Each course will be able to challenge all levels of play - from the par
shooter's to our 160 shooter's.
Please check the registration pages to make your arrangements with the
PGA NATIONAL or call (800) 633-9150 to book your rooms. The 49th is open to all
Professional Firefighters regardless of your golfing abilities.
As for our non-golfers, We welcome you and/or spouses or friends - we
will have a program to keep you busy and enjoy the scenic Palm Beach
Garden attractions.
Our motto is simple - "STRIVING TO KEEP BROTHERHOOD ALIVE"
Please be safe on your journey and travels to Florida - we are ready
and waiting for you to arrive. If you are in the need of assistance, please contact Joe Sorrentino

The annual U.S. and Canadian Professional Firefighters Golf Tournament was coordinated and founded in 1964 by Montreal,Canada firefighter Mr. Roger LaPierre (3/14/17 - 9/23/91).
Since then, several hundred firefighters/golfers have gathered together each September to golf, trade hats, shirts and war stories.
Mr. LaPierre’s legacy and the tournament tradition carries on annually and all
professional and retired firefighters are welcome. New teams and participants
are encouraged to join this annual event.
